A Firewalk of the Spirit Workshop

Sheila has teamed up with her good friend, Meddy Jacques, certified Firewalking Facilitator of The Ushered Path, to present a life-changing experience: A Firewalk of the Spirit.

This incredible workshop will be held on Halloween weekend, when the veil allows us to communicate more clearly with our ancestors and be further open to guidance.

Respecting others, all registrants must be on the grounds by 2:45 pm so we may begin promptly at 3:00 pm.

For thousands of years, cultures all around the world have practiced the ancient ritual of firewalking on coals and on lava flows for celebrations and rites of passage. Firewalks deconstruct old beliefs and expand the current range of possibilities. We move from the scope of “I can’t” to, at the minimum, a realm of “What if I can?” where the impossible becomes possible. Firewalking is the most extraordinary metaphor for mastering life’s obstacles. This last year of the pandemic has changed our world and our own personal vibration dramatically. Yet, life in general - our relationships with people, family, finances, professions, and many other issues - can cause us to feel stuck and vulnerable. Trapped in a perpetual state of alarm, it is difficult to access the creativity we need to see the pathways out of stagnation, out of the danger. That is the physiological reality of feeling unsafe - part of us shuts down so we can focus on sheer survival. Therefore, we must find ways to calm ourselves to access our higher, more imaginative functioning, and we need to stay alert enough to be assertive in the steps which will lead us to a future infused with more of the values of compassion, kindness, and ingenuity that we hold so dearly. A firewalk, and the empowerment workshop that precedes it, breaks through our deepest personal obstacles, those limits in our minds, and ushers us to a future of boundless opportunities.

This intensive workshop will explore personal obstacles and challenges, relationships, fears, goals, and empowerment techniques. There will be great laughter and typically, many tears. There will be boisterous cheering and a depth of emotional support. In just a few hours, you will be given all the guidance necessary should you choose to walk the fire at the end of the evening. Participation is voluntary – you are encouraged to walk, although it is not compulsory. All who attend will avail themselves of the healing properties of the fire. HOWEVER, no outside spectators are allowed at firewalks – NO EXCEPTIONS. This helps the group to feel safe and connected. Again, this will be open to all genders, so we will have a blend of masculine and feminine energies. This particular event has an adult-issue-focused program, therefore no children under 18 may attend so adults may speak openly and frankly without reserve. Once again, it is not necessary for registered participants to commit to walking the coals in advance or to perform any activity in the workshop in order to fully participate and benefit, but everyone is required to remain in the workshop space and follow directions to the firewalking area at the proper times. Firewalking is voluntary and your choice will be supported. Just remember, you are called to attend for a reason. Give yourself permission to take the steps necessary for profound transformation.
